The Royal Danish Embassy in Beijing is looking for an energetic student for a position as our part-time Press and Public Diplomacy Student assistant from March 1, 2017. 
 
Position: Student assistant

Qualifications:
• Currently enrolled in a BA or MA programme.
• Good command of written and spoken English and .
• Major in international relations, journalism, English or related areas is a plus.
• Avid social media user.
• Superb in organizing data content and information management.
• Responsible, inquisitive and creative (in that order).
 
Typical tasks:
• Translating relevant information/news about Denmark and post on our social media platforms and Facebook.
• Data base entry.
• Writing news in English and for our website.
• Creating and adapting content for specific social media platform.
• Helping make a weekly social media report.
• Assisting with expanding our media network in China.
• Assisting with organising media and public diplomacy events or other ad hoc affairs.
 
Practical info:
• Working hours: 20 hours per week.
• We will offer you 2.000 RMB a month for your work.
On-board date: March 1, 2017. 
• Duration: We strongly prefer long term commitment (preferably a year).

Summary of duties:

Mandatory requirements:

Education:

Minimum Bachelor degree from a recognized university, or an acceptable equivalent through a combination of education and work experience

Language:

Experience:

Summary of duties:

The EDC Regional Manager, Beijing office works under the general direction of the EDC Chief Representative, Greater China and is responsible for leading/co-leading EDC’s business development programs in the designated area of responsibility. The EDC Regional Manager is also responsible for helping to build and manage the brand image and reputation of EDC as a local player in the market. The incumbent acts as a key liaison with the Head of Mission and works in a complimentary manner with the Trade personnel in the mission.  The EDC Regional Manager is accountable for business results and designated strategic accounts within his/her assigned geographical responsibility as defined by the EDC Chief Representative, Greater China.

Mandatory requirements:

Education:

Master’s degree from a recognized university, preferably with a degree in commerce or a related area. A combination of education, training and experience is acceptable.

Language:

·         Proficiency in English (reading, writing, listening, speaking)

·         Proficiency in Mandarin (reading, writing, listening, speaking)

Experience:

·         At least six (6) years of recent and relevant experience in financial services industry, either in selling or underwriting. Including a minimum of three (3) years of External Commercial Borrowing (ECB) lending experience

·         At least three (3) years of Experience in dealing with the public and managing relations with a diverse client base

·         At least three (3) years of Experience in developing client and stakeholder relationships, and in obtaining, preparing for, and conducting meetings with important external parties, such as clients or influencers

Knowledge:

·         Knowledge of international business (exporting, importing, investment, technology transfer)

·         Knowledge of relevant topics such as Canadian and trade and investment business environment and practices; major areas and/or sectors of international trade; and/or and industry structures, major economic and political issues

Abilities/skills:

·         Demonstrated ability to identify and deliver on new business opportunities

·         Solid influencing, negotiating, relationship management and highly effective presentation skills.

Vacancy--Driver/Messenger

Required qualifications are as follows: 

A valid driver’s license

At least 05 Years experience as a Driver

Knowledge of roads and being able to look at an electronic map will be an added qualification.

Working Hours : 8.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m.

Aptitude for team work and some basic knowledge of English will be an advantage.

Ability to work after office hours and weekends, when necessary
